Tips and Tricks on natural hair

So I've been natural about 3 years now and think I've learned so much since my last update. These are some of the tips I've learned after trial and error.

1. Deep condition :
Deep conditioning is a must when I wear my hair curl I deep condition once a week. When I flat iron my hair I deep condition once every two weeks. Deep conditioning just helps bring life back to your dry hair.

2. Stop the heat :
Do not flat iron every day. Try air drying instead of blow drying. The less heat you use the less heat damage meaning less breakage.

3. Love your hair :
My second year natural I followed a bunch of natural hair women.I loved there hair texture and I hated mine so I would flat iron  my hair everyday to get it straight. Not realizing I was causing hella heat damage. Until one day I had to wear my hair out and got  so many compliments.

4. Protective styles :
Do protective styles so that your not in your head everyday causing breakage. I feel like when you don't touch your hair for awhile you get the most growth. I would suggest braids or even a sew in.
5. Patience :
I don't recommend month length checks becaus then your more concerned about longer hair then healthier hair. I got the most growth when I stopped caring how long my was.

Here are a couple pictures of my hair so far
